BMNR Stock Price Gains Over 7% as BitMine Adds 32,447 Ethereum Tokens

Key Insights:

  • BMNR stock price gained 7.10% after BitMine expanded its Ethereum treasury.
  • BitMine now holds 5,847,611 ETH, representing about 4.8% of Ethereum’s supply.
  • The company has staked 5,067,309 ETH, projecting $330 million in annualized revenue.

BMNR stock price rose 7.10% to $24.45 after BitMine Immersion Technologies expanded its Ethereum treasury during the past week. The company acquired 32,447 ETH, raising its total holdings to 5,847,611 tokens.

That position represents about 4.8% of Ethereum’s 120.7 million-token supply. The disclosure also detailed BitMine’s staking balance, liquidity, other investments, and total asset value.

BitMine Expands Its Ethereum Position

In the Press Release published on 24th August, 2026, BitMine valued the Ether position at a $2,440 Coinbase reference price. At that price, the holding carried an indicated value of about $14.27 billion.

Meanwhile, BitMine reported staking 5,067,309 ETH, or roughly 87% of its total Ether holdings as the BMNR stock price remains in focus. The company projected approximately $330 million in annualized staking revenue. Consequently, 780,302 ETH, representing about 13% of the position, sat outside the disclosed staked balance.

Beyond Ethereum, the company held 210 Bitcoin and two equity positions. Notably, BitMine reported a $180 million stake in Beast Industries. It also listed an $89 million investment in Eightco Holdings, which trades under the ORBS ticker. The company classified both investments as moonshots.

Additionally, cash and marketable securities hit $308 million. Combined crypto, cash, securities, and other investments totaled $14.9 billion on August 23.

Tom Lee Compares ETH With Earlier Rallies

Alongside the treasury figures, BitMine Chairman Thomas Lee reported a 30% weekly gain for Ether. He described it as the largest weekly increase since May 2025. Before that episode, a comparable move occurred in July 2021.

Lee stated that Ether advanced another 170% after the May 2025 increase. It gained 167% following the July 2021 move. He cited easing financial conditions as a supportive factor in the crypto market recovery.

Lee attributed the latest Ethereum advance to improved crypto fundamentals, Wall Street tokenization, and agentic artificial intelligence. He also connected improved risk appetite with White House crypto support and Treasury purchases of long-term bonds.

Lee separately addressed the ETH-to-Bitcoin ratio during previous crypto bull cycles. He said rising Ethereum usage relative to Bitcoin supported the ratio during those periods.

Initial coin offerings drove the 2017-to-2018 cycle, while non-fungible tokens shaped the 2020-to-2021 period. Lee named stablecoins as the 2025 driver. For the upcoming cycle, he expects tokenization and agentic AI activity to influence the ratio.

BMNR Stock Price Holds Above $24

Following the disclosure, BitMine stock opened near $22.90 and briefly tested support around $22.83. Buyers then lifted BMNR stock price above $23.50 before the shares broke through $24.00. Increased volume accompanied a sequence of higher highs and higher lows toward $24.90.

However, the stock retreated after testing the $24.80–$25.00 range. BMNR stock price traded above $24.20, with the lower support zones at $24.00 and $23.50. On the other side, resistance sat near $24.66 and $24.90.

Meanwhile, Ethereum traded at $2,461 within a $2,425.59-to-$2,529.69 range. ETH initially approached $2,480 before falling below $2,440. Buyers later pushed the token beyond $2,500, but selling near $2,530 reversed the move.

Consequently, ETH returned to the $2,460 area. Immediate lower supports stood at $2,440 and near the $2,426 daily low. A move beneath that lower boundary could weaken the short-term price structure.
